Vaginal dryness occurs when a woman has less lubrication in and around the vagina, causing discomfort or pain during intercourse. Vaginal dryness can happen at any age, but is most prominent around menopause.

Vaginal dryness results in physical changes that cause the vaginal tissue to be thinner, less flexible, and dry. Conditions or events that contribute to vaginal dryness are: menopause (average age 51), birth control pills. diabetes, certain antidepressants, antihistamines (treating itchy eyes and runny noses), childbirth, breastfeeding, removal of the ovaries, cancer treatments including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, anti-estrogen medications (treating uterine fibroids or endometriosis), sjogren’s syndrome (an autoimmune disorder that can cause dryness throughout the body). diet, lifestyle, alcohol, symptoms caused by a vaginal yeast infection and herpes virus.

Yes. Common medical approaches for treating vaginal dryness in women include: lubricants, vaginal moisturizers, PDE5 Inhibitor (e.g., sildenafil lotion) avoiding strong or perfumed soaps or lotions near the vagina, replacing the medication that may be causing vaginal dryness, estrogen or non-estrogen oral therapies, local estrogen or DHEA inserted directly into the vagina.

You should expect the following improvements during The Reestor Experience. 

Your first 4-6 weeks

You should begin to experience or notice improvements. For some, it can take up to 3 months or longer.

Ongoing Care & Treatment Adjustments

If you still don't notice improvements, your b:Rare doctor will be able to adjust your customized dose or switch you to a different treatment.

Start by creating an account and telling your b:Rare doctor about your quality of life goals, a brief health history, and your treatment preference. Then schedule your telehealth appointment.

Receive your treatment in the mail within 2-days

Your physician-pharmacist designed health experience will be mailed directly to your door from our b:Rrare Pharmacy along with instructions, guidance, and live support.

Ongoing care to meet your personal goals

You will have ongoing check-ins throughout your care that will allow adjustments to be made and to ensure your goals are being met.

Every body is different, so your b:Rare doctor care team may prescribe one of several potential medications based on your unique biology and needs. Your b:Rare doctor will also give you the option to request a different medication before finalizing your prescription. All medications have been confirmed as safe by the FDA, and have been scientifically proven to meet your personal health goals.

Yes. The b:Rare Health membership fee enables us to provide a level of personalized service by our doctors, pharmacists, and technologists that is not typically reimbursed by most insurers.

No. You should keep your health insurance so that you are covered in case of a medical emergency.
